Muhammad Ali, a World Champion boxer, who was also a philanthropist and activist, put up a good fight. His quote, “I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion”, really speaks to me in regards to life.
A lot of people, myself included, tend to push things off for many reasons. You don’t feel good enough, you don’t feel like putting forth the effort or energy if you aren’t sure it will be worthwhile, or whatever the reason may be. A lot of work now, could mean less work later, but then procrastination sneaks in.
No one wants to feel like they are suffering in life. Hard work can be frustrating, and exhausting; however, the end result, could be well worth the effort. The more you put in, the more you’ll get back — a lot of people utilize this daily in various forms, but not everyone seems to acknowledge it across the board in every aspect of their life.
This quote inspires me to want to be a better version of myself, and work hard to ensure that later will be more fulfilling. Some days may be harder to push through than others, but every day I push through will bring me closer to achieving my goals. The more I put in now, the easier it will be later, and I can make myself a stronger version of me.
